The Stone
Carnelian is a translucent orange-to-red variety of chalcedony (SiO₂), colored by iron oxide. It is an opaque-to-translucent microcrystalline quartz with a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7, a waxy to vitreous luster, and no visible crystal structure.
Carnelian has been used since at least 3000 BCE. Ancient Egyptians wore it as an amulet for protection in life and the afterlife. Romans used it for signet rings, as hot wax does not stick to the stone. It was also used in Islamic and Tibetan traditions.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure your wrist circumference just below the wrist bone using a soft tape measure or a piece of string. Add about 0.5–1 cm for a comfortable fit. Our bracelets are available in 6.5", 7", and 7.5" — if you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable daily wear.
